Fired from SMC-918 pistol
See note (1)
CorBon is probably the best commercial 9x18M defense round available. Some early boxes of CorBon I bought had lousy quality control and velocities were all over the place. The latest ones are much better and I recommend them highly. Check out this picture of the bullet before and after firing. It's about the best you can expect for such a small cartridge! And no, I don't work for Corbon.
Note that this was fired from the short-barreled SMC-918 so performance may be even better from a Makarov pistol. I carry the SMC-918, so this was important to me.
(1) This test was with a Russian Makarov with Federal extended threaded barrel. There we no signs of overpressure, nor was the load abusive in terms of felt recoil (with a Pearce grip installed).
